Welcome to Jhalak. We build products that help you express yourself through beautiful status images and Suvichar. We believe you should always know what data we collect from you and how we use it, and that you should have meaningful control over both.

1. Information We Collect

Jhalak is designed to be privacy-first. Profile Data: When you set up your profile (Name, Title, and Profile Photo), this information is saved exclusively using your browser's local storage or device storage. We do not transmit this data to our servers.

Analytics Data: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage data to improve our app's performance, such as which features are most popular. This data cannot be used to identify you.

2. How We Use Your Information

Since we do not collect personal identifyable information on our servers, there is no data for us to use or sell. The data stored locally on your device is used solely to watermark and personalize the images you generate within the Jhalak app.

3. Third-Party Services

Jhalak may use third-party services for analytics or crash reporting (e.g., Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics). These services may collect information your browser sends as part of a web page request, such as cookies or your IP address. Their use of this information is governed by their respective privacy policies.

4. Data Security

We take security seriously. Because majority of the app's functioning happens directly in your browser, your data is inherently protected from server-side breaches. However, remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.

5. Your Rights & Data Control

You have full control over your data:

• View: Your profile data is visible in the app's Profile section
• Edit: You can modify your name, tagline, or photo anytime
• Delete: Clear app data or uninstall to remove all local data
• Export: Your saved images are stored in your device gallery

6. Permissions We Use

Our Android app requests the following permissions:

• Storage/Photos: To save created images to your gallery and select profile photos
• Internet: To load status templates and content from our server
• Notifications: Optional - for daily status reminders (can be disabled)

7. Content & Copyright

All status templates and quotes provided in Jhalak are either original content, public domain material, or properly licensed. If you believe any content infringes your copyright, please contact us immediately for prompt removal.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
